Names: Owen and Abby Davis Ages: 15 Height: Owen: 5'6" Abby: 5'5"
Occupations: Students, foster child Current Social Worker: Wilma Jane Martin - appearance link - 62, loving, patient, been working with Owen and Abby for ten years. She thinks Owen needs a bit of "tough love" to set him straight, before he really gets into trouble, and knows keeping the twins together is best for both. Owen's Personality: Owen comes of as rude, hateful, and independent. He doesn't want anyone's help, even when he needs it. He doesn't take well to adults, scared they'll all just hate him, so he gives them a reason to hate him. Usually, he tends to sneak out whenever is possible to try and get away. Owen, still missing his mother, clings to the hope of his father returning for them. He is very protective over Abby, and is usually always with her unless off causing trouble. Abby's Personality:Abby is very timid and doesn't talk much unless to Owen. One day she hopes to have a family, but she also wants Owen to be safe and happy. She's very gentle hearted, and couldn't hurt a fly. Though startled very easy, as a lot of foster homes they were in consisted of her and Owen being yelled at, she tends to jump behind Owen at any sign of confrontation. She's rather nervous about changing homes again. Background: After their mother died from breast cancer when they were four, Owen and Abby went to live with their father for only a year before he decided he no longer wanted the 'brats.' Since then, they had been in and out of foster homes. Sadly, more than once, they ended up in an either abusive or 'rough' foster home. Owen hated it. Why wouldn't his father just take care of them? Wasn't he going to come back for them? Why did he put his own children through this" His thoughts planted seeds of hate into him, and he began to purposely make homes give them up again. He so badly wanted his father to come back for them, and he couldn't do that if they were with some other family. Abby needed her father, not some stranger. It didn't take long for Owen to start getting into trouble. It started out small when he was just eight, involving vandalism, petty theft, and small fights in school. His trouble making only continued to escalate, and when he was thirteen, he got his hands on firecrackers and lighters. It was perfect. He found out that if he burned something down, the family would give him up, and Wilma would bail him out of trouble. He's tried running away with Abby before, but they always got caught within a few days. Abby tried to get Owen to settle down. She missed their mother and father too, but clearly he wasn't coming back for them. Though, desperate to help him turn around from trouble and help them both get into a stable home, Wilma has gotten in contact with some of their more patient, reliable foster families willing to work with them. Owen refuses to admit to Wilma that he does these things in hopes of his father returning. Deep down he knows it's a foolish wish, but all he wants is his father to come take care of them. And until then, he'll take care of Abby.

MOTHER
NAME – Sophia Davis
AGE – Had kids at 18. Died at 22 from breast cancer.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Mother: Anne Davis, 61, alive Father: Greg Davis, 63, deceased Children: Owen and Abby
PERSONALITY:
Sophia was always a kind woman. She loved people, and always tried her best to make someone else's day just a bit better. She was very caring, and absolutely loved children. Being very outgoing, she had friends all over the city.
HISTORY:
Sophia was raised by her parents in a nice flat in Chicago. Her parents both worked at Tribune Tower, Chicago, as publishers. Her home was strict, with parents who wanted her to succeed more than anything. She was in her first year of college at the University of Chicago. She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to be, but she got in and went. Sophia met William while he worked at Roseco Auto Rebuilders, Inc. under his uncle's mentor ship. She had gotten in a fender bender and needed a quick fix. They started going out, and she got pregnant after a condom broke.
Broken hearted, she was quick to cut things off with William before he knew. She didn't want him to know, scared he'd react negatively. She left college and lived with her disapproving mother and father until the twins were born. She was in love with them. They were her beautiful babies, and she couldn't wait to raise them. She moved out from the house and into a small apartment. Her parents wanted nothing to do with her or the kids anymore. That was fine with her. She got a job as an assistant for a very nice woman who let her bring her twins into work. Owen and Abby were very well behaved. They hardly cried unless something was wrong.
A year after child birth, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She tried to hide this as much as she could for her kids, especially as they got older. When they turned three, she decided it was best for William to finally meet his children. He was her only hope to take them in if she died. Her body wasn't reacting well to treatment at all.
One year later, she died. She left all she had in William's name to help him raise their children. FATHER
NAME – William Pearson
AGE – Currently: 34 - Kids born when he was 19
RELATIONSHIPS:
Mother: Anne Pearson, deceased from ODing Father: Wilson Pearson, deceased Children: Owen and Abby
PERSONALITY:
William has always been sort of a rougher guy. He was never afraid to stand up for himself as a kid, and always had a bit of a temper. His parents never really disciplined him, so he had free rein over what he did, and when he did it. William could be a bit rash at points, even plain out mean, but he had never shown these things to his kids. When it came to Owen and Abby, he desperately tried to show them the love and nurturing kindness Sophia had. He always stayed as patient as possible. And if he couldn't handle the situation, he'd practically back down or find something to distract them so he could calm down.
HISTORY:
William was born with two parents who just started drugs. He too got hooked on the weed his father started bringing home when he was 13. As a gateway drug, he just branched off to others he could get on the street before his uncle snatched him by the ear and dragged him back to his own apartment, away from where he grew up. His uncle helped him get clean. He still smoked some marijuana every now and then with friends.
When he met Sophia, she helped him stop that to. He fell in love with her quick, and then she suddenly broke things off, left college, and left him confused. What had happened? She told him bye in tears. Heart broken, he started smoking marijuana more. The next few years were hard, but his uncle kept him as clean as possible. And when he was 22, he met his twins. That was a complete shock. They were three years old, and a handful to watch after. Owen loved climbing onto things, and Abby loved to pull clothes out of anywhere and play dress up. Sophia adored them.
When she told him why she was introducing him to them, his heart sank. She cried, and he could only hold her. To help, William tried desperately to get clean again. Sophia died before he was completely clean, and now he had twins on his hands. He wasn't ready mentally or financially to raised them. Sophia left him everything she had, but he felt like it wasn't enough. He felt like a terrible father. Taking his kids to their mother's funeral felt like a big mistake when they both ended up sobbing on his lap. Why'd he do that? Owen got a hold of his bong one night. What sort of father was he to not have thrown that away?
He called Mrs. Martin in tears. She had been assigned to him to make sure he could care for the twins. He couldn't. He tried for a year. A year of struggling, and he felt terrible. They deserved so much better than him. He used to be a druggie, he had anger issues (he never took it out on his kids though), he wasn't financially stable, and having twins running around was hard. So he gave them up. It had been the hardest decision of his life, but he decided they'd be better off with a nice couple adopting them. They were almost six years old. He prayed they didn't remember him.
A year later, he stopped checking in with Mrs. Martin and joined the U.S. Army. He keeps himself deployed for most of the year spare two months. He still has a small apartment to come back to during those months.
