Genekaie Nekota
ABOUT THE GENEKAIE NEKOTA
Ancient drawings and paintings prove these beings existed thousands and thousands of years ago. However, archaeologists believed the morbid paints were evidence of a very deadly disease called the Genekeno Plague. They weren't wrong. Instead of everyone dying, a few women who were pregnant when contracting the disease had mutated children. The mothers became very sickly during their pregnancy, as the infants were eating their mothers alive. The mothers died during labor, and the infants were raised by their families in secret, as the children grew a sick taste for blood. The children were all females, as the disease mimicked the genetic material of their mothers and mutated from there.
These females eventually met with a strange natural instinct to find one another. They grew their family by sinking acid from their fangs into humans of their choice. The gene pool increased, and the Genekaie Nekota began to evolve into its own sub-species of the fabled vampire.
The 1800s were a bad time for the Genekaie Nekota, and most other vampires. Vampire slaying became a secret to the churches of the time. The church saw the vampires as demons from Satan himself, and they needed to be gone. Hunters became more popular, yet still a part of the secret societies that hid behind the human race in order to survive and let humans live out their feeble, naive lives.
The Genekaie Nekota became almost extinct by the 1900s. Very few exist to this day, and the ones that do exist are very secretive. Though they do find one another sometimes. Some revert to natural instinct, some remain alone.
WHAT IS A FAMILY TO THE GENEKAIE?
A Genekaie has family bonding by who changes you, or ho claims you as family. If a vamp changes a human, that new fang is now part of the family from the venom that changes them. However, vamps that weren't turned by a family member can be accepted by the head of the house. They get bit by the head of the house, and that bite mark and the venom going thought them now.
They can always find their family. The Genekaie have a natural sense of direction towards their family or clan. In their black and white vision, they see purple smears of where their family member's heart is.
TRADITIONAL CLAN/FAMILY LIFE
Back in the day, the first vampires set a standard for traditional family and clan life. A female is always at the head of the household, and very rarely is a male at the head. The second in command in the family is always the head's mate. The pecking order is very strict within a Genekaie Nekota clan. Family groups that merge together often had heated disputes between the two head females before one put her dominance over the other.
New vampires were chosen based on their mental capability. The Genekaie would chose the best host, and bite them. They always chose a new, strong member, and during the transformation process, the new clan mate was treated like royalty to get them through the pain. Often times, a new member would hate the others, but they would learn that they had a family for life now.
These families are very close. They stand by one another no matter what. Some family groups would create pacts with one another when they discovered they lived too close, or merge to create an even larger family group. These families often lived on large farms, or deep in the mountains, forests, or on large plots of land with multiple houses or one big house.
MODERN FAMILY LIFE
Modern family life is a lot different considering this sub species is very rare. The most to live together is three at this current time. Instead of the head of the house being a female, it is now varied between a male or female. Couples act like a normal human couple in the act of dominance. These species are very social to one another, and tend to like being with one or more of their own species.
These families are still very close knit, and tend to be very protective over their family even though none of them are related by blood. Venom binds these beings.
ABILITIES
Immortality - The Genekaie is practically immortal, but they can be killed. They do not change anyone into a vamp if they are under 22, as an immortal child can be very dangerous.
Heightened Speed/Strength - Naturally, a vamp is much stronger than any human. They do have their limits after being exhausted, but after a nice rest and a nice meal, they're ready.

Heightened Durability and Healing - do u need me to really explain this come on
Heightened Scent - obvious as well back off dick head okay
Night vision - Since a Genekaie is adapted to hunt, live, and breath in the night, they have amazing night vision. They see much better at night
Echo Location - When blinded or unable to see clearly, a Genekaie can emit a low, clicking growl in the back of their throat that returns to them and tells them what is around. Much like a bat, they can use this to find prey, or move around an environment they can't see.
WEAKNESSES
Bright Light/Sun - Obviously, a creature made to haunt the night isn't going to be fond of the light. Bright light can temporarily blind a Genekaie, and irritates them. Their vision often becomes white washed with bright lights, or turns black and white like during their blood lust. Unnatural light is just as bad as natural light for their eyes, but natural light from the sun can easily burn their skin. They don't sparkle, or set on fire. They get sun burnt easily, and can be given a nasty case of sun poisoning.
Blood Lust - This is a very deadly state to find a Genekaie in. Who they are is no longer there. All control is lost. Their main goal is to feed. They don't care off who. This can often be triggered by not drinking enough human blood, and then being surrounded by too many new humans, or even animals if hungry enough. A starved Genekaie is able to fall into a blood lust and remain in it until they've gotten a heavy meal in them. During a blood lust, a Genekaie sees in black and white, but they see red as well. They can see the veins in any living being around, and that's where they are attracted to. During this time, they become very aggressive and unstable. A Genekaie can't leave a blood lust spell unless they're completely full, and all living things around are either dead, or not delicious to them.
Pure Silver - They can not heal these wounds like they can others. Wounds made from pure silver will heal like how a human heals. It has to be pure silver. A silver plated object has been tainted, and therefore will not work the same.
Food - A Genekaie can NOT eat anything but blood. Their body is no longer fit to digest anything but blood. They can drink water, but that's it. Eating human food sends them into a purging process. They become very ill, and are often sent immobile from pain. They will continue to vomit until everything is out of their system, and then their body still has to recover from the strange substance within their body. If a lot of certain foods entered them, they can die if their body is unable to purge. Certain human food is very poisonous to the Genekaie such as processed foods (especially junk food and sweets).
Infected Blood - See 'WHAT TO EAT' section below.
WHAT TO EAT
A Genekaie's diet consists of blood and water. A single vamp of this species can consume up to three gallons of blood in one sitting. That meal, however, can hold them off for a few days before they need to feed again. When it comes to blood, they can be very picky. They can not eat infected blood. Infected or defective blood consists of, but is not limited to:
a. Diabetes
b. Malaria
c. HIV/AIDs
d. Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis C (HCV)
e. Syphilis
f. Brucellosis
g. Anemia
These creatures are able to sense these deformities with blood, and will not drink it. People with these blood issues are often poisonous to a Genekaie as their body can't properly digest it. Certain sicknesses they can digest, but others can kill.
Some blood is more delectable than other blood. A Genekaie's main food source is human blood. It keeps their body, mind, and senses sharp. Drinking animal blood can cause a Genekaie's senses to dull, but it won't kill them. Some even opt to only feed off animals.
HOW THEY SEE
THE CHANGING PROCESS
This is the first step in becoming a Genekaie Nekota. The venom used to do this is very acidic and living. It connects with current DNA, and changes it while forcing the host body to conform to certain standards for life as a vampire. Genekaie will not chose anyone over the age of 50 or under 22. Their body is either too old or too young to handle the transformation process. They also will not change someone with a weak mental state. A potential new fang is observed for months before they're taken.
Once bitten, agony attacks the bite. The bite can be placed anywhere on the body but is most commonly placed on the wrist or neck. Much like a snake bite, the venom rots the flesh around the puncture wounds. Though this flesh will heal within the second week.
The Genekaie take very good care of turning new fangs, especially if they were turned to join a clan. The first week is brutal on the body. The venom is spread out over the whole body and leaving aches all over to the point movement is agonizing. Water is needed almost constantly for the body to stay hydrated as the venom works at muscle, tissue, and even bone.
By now the bite wound should be healed of any rotten flesh. Pain in any extremities, for now, should be duller, as the pain will now center into the chest and stomach. It takes almost two weeks for the venom to change and kill the heart without killing the body. This is where a lot of new fangs die, and the clan or vamp who bit them becomes very protective over them and makes sure they're cared for and as comfortable as possible.
The venom turns the heart black, and the veins start turning black as well. This isn't visible from the outside to protect themselves from other humans and to be able to hunt easier. The veins and heart become tougher like a muscle. The heart no longer pumps only blood, but the veins pump and shift the blood they'll feed off, water, and venom through the body to nourish it.
The lungs are turned a deep purple color as well as all their other internal organs. Their lungs are no longer necessary. A Genekaie does NOT need to breath, but they can to make themselves seem like a normal human. Most never get out of the habit of breathing. Some never breath because they feels its useless, but they do breath in the presence of others.
During the fourth week, the new fang goes blinded as their eyes, brain, spinal cord, nose, and ears are all attacked by the venom to change biological standards. This is completely agonizing, and a new fang is often lowered into ice completely to numb the pain. During this changing period, a new fang typically won't willingly eat, and either the Genekaie who changed them or their clan will insure that they get enough blood and water into their system to make the process easier.
Pain from everything else goes away as the new fang begins to grow their fangs. Like a child, a new fang's mouth becomes very painful, and they tend to want to bite into things to relieve the pain. The venom that had been changing them previously, creates four venom sacks in the roof of their mouth. Two are for venom that kills, and two are for venom that can change a human into a Genekaie. During this, their fangs grow, sharpen, and develop to become the perfect killing devices. All of their teeth grow sharper points on them, giving them a more animalistic bite.
Drawing to the final stage of transformation, this is when the new fang begins to heal.

HOW THEY SEE
NORMAL VISION
- A Genekaie has extraordinary vision. They see things very clearly, and notice fine details about objects. -
BLACK AND WHITE VISION
- This is usually what a Genekaie sees when hunting. They're attracted to the red, which represents main blood arteries and the heart. The purple marks are how they identify family members. Other vampires don't have a purple mark or red blood veins. -
WHITE WASHED VISION
- This is how a Genekaie sees in bright lights. The purple marks are how they identify family members. They usually only go by scent and echolocation when their vision is like this. -
