Personality/Likes & Dislikes/Fears
Elegant and graceful, Ruzica holds herself with the air of confidence around her. This princess is, despite how most people would suspect, incredibly wise and smart. As her people know, the lady is incredibly loving, gentle and caring. She would give her life for her people if such was called for, and refuses to let anyone take down her people, and especially not her family. Ruzica is loyal, and holds her chin up and back straight as she walks, ready for anything and any problem to solve. She knows the ins and outs of war tactics, politics, and much more. This causes for a very wise woman to be walking, unlike her younger sister. With her brother, or others who are incredibly close to her (which is usually hard to achieve), this princess can actually be rather playful and carefree. If angered, sarcastic remarks can be expected from Ruzica, along with a snappy attitude, though an angry Ruzica is incredibly rare to come across. Stress is easily dealt with, and she tends to push it to the side, even if that can sometimes bite her in the tail later.

Appearance
Deep blue with lighter blue highlights, her eyes sparkle with life and shine bright when light hits them just right. As an easy way to her emotions, the princess's eyes easily reflect her emotion unlike her face and motions. Her hair falls down a bit past her shoulder blades, her dark brown hair seemingly lighter in the summer and in the light, with more blonde highlights in it's thick, slightly wavy mass. She has slight bangs, that do fall into her eyes when her hair isn't pulled back or pushed away from her face. She has long dark eyelashes that flutter softly when she blinks or bats her eyes.
Her skin is slightly pale due to the fact she isn't allowed to leave the castle too much at the threat of her being harmed, or even kidnapped once again. She has slight freckles on her shoulders, cheeks, and nose, and some even on her dainty fingers. She doesn't care much for her freckles. Around her eyes is normally brimmed with black to bring out her eyes more, though with how vibrant they are this isn't typically needed. Her body is slim and curvy, with a light muscle mass from the activities her father makes her do to keep her healthy and in shape.
Around her neck always stands her owl pendant (-link-). And, unlike any other royal, Ruzica has gotten tattoos secretly which only her brother and few maids/dressers know of. She has a tattoo that goes down her back, and one on her stomach. She keeps them hidden, though suspects her mother knows.

Background
Rain beat on the kingdom all through the night. The king paced up and down the halls, the young seven year old prince sat against the wall, watching the doors. The queen had gone into labor not long ago, and now all that was left was to wait for the child to be born. And, for the king, it felt like ages had passed before he was allowed entry to the room where his beloved wife lay in a bed, exhausted and holding a bundle of blankets. The sound of small cries was soon calmed by the loving voice of Queen Saliea singing to the newly born babe in her arms.
Her eyes only looked to the king when he gently grasped his finger around one of her stray locks and pushed it away, muffling a small chuckle of joy as he looked to the child. "Would you like to hold your daughter?" Saliea asked, staring up at the bearded man as he nodded slowly, reaching down hesitantly as if afraid he might hurt the small girl. The woman placed the bundle in his arms, watching the king hold his second child close to his chest, grinning now that he knew he had a firm, steady hold upon her.
"She is so small," King Warner uttered in amazement.
"Our little Ruzica..." Saliea smiled, watching her husband hold the baby before she laid her head back to fall asleep. A nurse maid came over, gently taking the young princess from the man's arms before taking her to a cradle, placing her into it. Warner kissed the top of Saliea's head before leaving the room, where young Maveric jumped up, eager to know of his new sibling.
"How is mother, father?" The young prince asked, peeking around the older man slightly to see him close the door to the dimly lit room.
"She is fine, my son; and so it your little sister," he smiled.
"Sister? What is her name, father?" Maveric pressed, eyes lighting up at the thought to being an elder brother.
"Princess Ruzica Rosalinda Sa'adat," Warner hummed the name proudly, smiling to his seven year old son.
"Ruzica?" He questioned before smiling. He finally had a little sibling!
"Yes, my boy," Warner grinned, placing a hand onto the lad's shoulder. "You will meet her soon, but for now, let us go rest. Your mother needs to sleep, and so does your new sister."
Maveric had to wait, rather impatiently, a month before his mother finally emerged from the room, daughter in hand, going to take a stroll through the garden. Once he was told his mother wished for him to join her, he gladly ran down to the garden, slowing his pace once there and walking over to the woman that sat on a bench. "My dear son, come see your sister." Saliea called, looking over to her smiling son as he slowly walked over, noticing he had something balled up in his hand, though she didn't question it.
Maveric slid to sit by his mother, peeking to the baby that rested in her arms, halfway wrapped in a blanket. Ruzica squirmed slightly, rubbing her eyes as she woke up and let her big blue eyes land upon her big brother, kicking her legs excitedly. "Hello Ruzica," Maveric smiled, sitting up a bit more so he could see her more. "I'm your big brother," he chimed, lifting a hand and letting the baby latch a small hand around his finger. "I have something for you!" He said excitedly, opening his balled up fist to reveal the owl pendant in his hand. "I made it for you, Ruzica," He lifted his hand dropping the necklace gently around her neck.
Saliea smiled as she watched, "that is a beautiful necklace," she hummed. The woman shifted Ruzica to sit up more, the babe holding the pendant in one hand and examining it. "I think she likes it," the woman laughed lightly.
"I hope she will keep it forever," Maveric said, smiling to his little sister as she held his finger.
As she grew up, Ruzica became closer and closer to her older brother. She never removed the necklace he had given her, and the owl pendant struck her love for owls to begin. The two young royals amused one another within the castle walls, since they weren't allowed out of the castle gates. The two studied together; Warner found it rather difficult to teach one without the other around, even if Ruzica was seven years younger than her brother. The young princess learned easily, learning things way beyond her young years.
During her years as a five year old, and Maveric's years of being twelve, their mother went into labor again. The two became excited, waiting together outside of the same room the two of them were also born in. Once again the king was pacing back and fourth, and it wasn't long until he was invited into the room, leaving Ruzica and Maveric to play games in the hall way as they waited.
When Warner exited the room, both hopped to their feet, Ruzica speaking first this time. "Father, father, how are they?" She chimed, freckled features staring up to the man, Maveric by her side as always.
"Your mother is sleeping, and so is your new sister," He chuckled, bending down to be at eye level with his young daughter, having to look up a bit to look Maveric in the eye.
"Oh! What is her name, father?" Ruzica asked happily.
"Princess Saren," He smiled.
"Saren?" Maveric echoed, looking down to Ruzica. "Hear that, Ruzzy? We have a sister!"
"I cannot wait to meet her!" Ruzica chimed before Warner sent the two off to bed.
It was yet another month of waiting before the two were allowed to meet their new sister, when Saliea brought the young girl out in the garden and called upon her children. Maveric and Ruzica hurried down to their mother, standing in front of her as they looked to their sister. "This is Saren," Saliea uttered gently.
"We made her a bracelet, mother," the two children chimed simultaneously, Maveric pulling it out from his pocket. It had a metal engraving of a wolf on leather bands that could be pulled and loosened to size it right.
"Let's put it on then shall we," Saliea laughed lightly before helping Maveric gently put the bracelet onto the young baby's wrist.
From then on, it was long nights full of crying and days full of their mother having to care souly on Saren. As understanding as they could be, Maveric and Ruzica gave away their time with their mother so she could care for the baby that would cry more if a nurse maid tried to hold her.
"Did I always cry like that, Ricky?" Ruzica asked her brother.
"No, you were a quiet baby. I hope Saren is alright..." He uttered.
When Saren finally turned two, her crying had ceased a lot, until something didn't go the child's way. Sadly, Maveric and Ruzica didn't find as much enjoyment in playing with their sister as they had hoped. It was usually one slip up short from a temper tantrum raging from the youngest princess. Besides, the two were growing out of games quickly, Ruzica rather mature for her age of eight. Maveric was now fourteen, and childish games no longer amused him.
Ruzica was leaning more towards reading her books, horse back riding, and even fencing. Maveric had turned to sword fighting, his studies, and joining his sister in horse back riding. The two still were very close, and seeming to only grow closer over the years--their silly pinkie promise and scary-story-telling-under-a-blanket nights were mostly over though. The two were on their way to becoming a fully mature man and woman. While their sister, on the other hand, huffed and puffed about not getting her way even as she grew older.
Of course, Ruzica and Maveric still tried to invite Saren into their affairs, but soon realized she'd turn it into something that went her own way instead of a way all three could agree on. Seeing how she acted, the king and queen sadly agreed Saren was not born for leadership like her elder siblings. The youngest princess even skipped her studies, sealing her own fate of a last resort: simply getting prepared to be married off. Maveric would go on to take the Kingdom Of Molentha as his, and Ruzica would marry another prince and become a queen there when the time was right.
Later down the line, when Maveric turned eighteen, and Ruzica eleven, the young man came back to the castle with a skip in his step as he searched for his sister. When he found her, reading a book in her study as he assumed, Maveric ran over and bumped his knee into her side gently, "Ruzzy! Ruzzy! Look what I found."
"What is it?" She closed her book, looking up. Her eyes widened at the sight of the young owl in his hands, "where did you find it?" She stood up, Maveric placing the baby owl into her hands.
"On the trail; it was abandoned," He explained, grinning. "I thought you would like your own owl, since you love them so."
"Thank you, brother! I should feed her right away!" She stated, looking to the young owl in her hand as she pulled it close to her chest to cradle it carefully.
That owl was the start of a great friendship. Ruzica named the owl Esselath, but mainly called her Essy. Ruzica trained the owl in her free time, creating a strong bond with the bird over the years. She'd take the bird with her to many places, where Essy would gladly pick on Maveric for her, which gave the two siblings a laughing matter at even the most boring times. The bird was even trained in delivering mail, and retrieving things (small of course).
Currently, at the age of twenty two, Ruzica is a matured young woman, who's playful side only comes out around her brother, and certain others. She is a wise woman, in all aspects of a kingdom, including war tactics, politics, economy, and more. Her hand is wanted by many princes from other kingdoms, both for her beauty and her brains. Though... Ruzica finds herself hoping she'd truly fall in love with one of them; not just for looks or their kingdom's wealthy. But true love--the kind of thing in the stories she had read. Ruzica keeps this silly hope a secret though, and simply waits for love to come along, or for a suitor her parents wish for her to marry.
Themes
1. Wanderer's Lullaby - link -
A lullaby sung by her mother, Ruzica grew up on the words of encouragement
that came from the song. To this day, the princess sings the song to herself
and even others (rarely) to help get through rough times, or even help herself
or another fall asleep.
2. Why Not by Hilary Duff - link -
For her side that likes to follow her heart more, instead of just relying on
what others tell her to do. Ruzica is one to take a crazy chance on almost
anything, as long as she knows it won't have horrible consequences.
3. Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer - link -
Simply for the dream Ruzica has of finding true love instead of just marrying
just any prince.
