Appearance
"You idiot, don't you get it?
I love you."
I love you."
Light golden hair cascades down past her shoulders in a smooth wave when let grown out. In the winter, a slightly darker hue of brown takes over her locks, while in summer, the woman's hair lightens out again it its heart warming gold. Depending on the young woman's desire, she will cut her hair down to shorter lengths, some even down to a more male-like length, some just covering her ears. Her eyes sway from a rich blue, to a deep blue green that catches the gleam of the stars at night. On a typical day, Megaera frames her eyes with a line of black to draw attention to them, for obvious reasons. With full lips that are naturally a darker hint of redish pink, half-smirks and seductive lip biting is fun for her to toy with.
Holding a slim structure from working out, running from 'the man', and fighting, her curves are more prominent to be seen. Purposely showing off her curves, Megaera wears tighter fit clothes in order to distract male opponents, or get things into her favor.
"If I ask nicely...
Can I legally kill you?"
Can I legally kill you?"
King Raymond Aatma held his beloved daughter for the first time, brushing a thumb gently over her porcelain skin by her big blue eyes and over the freckle on her right cheek, a breath of air managing to escape from him. Queen Cristabell Aatma had been barren since she was born, but the gods blessed the royal couple with a child of their own to take the throne. Holding her small form before him, the king couldn't help but let a small tear roll down his wrinkled cheek before his wife brushed it away with her gentle touch. A child, of their own blood, held within his own hands... He could finally rock his own dear daughter to sleep, a child he never thought to be possible.
When the dear girl fell into a peaceful sleep, King Aatma placed her into her cradle, pulling the small blanket over her small body. "My beautiful rose...blooming when thought impossible..." His voice finally murmured to the child, gazing down at the sleeping baby. "My little Rosabella... I will keep you safe forever." The king blew out the candles before leaving the room in which his daughter was sleeping. A calm, quiet child who hadn't cried since she was born. This of course worried the people of the castle, but the king was convinced this babe saw nothing but good; so why cry?
The poor old man did not realize how quickly word spread to his enemies. That babe was the perfect evil plot for the kingdom's own dutch and duchess to gain the throne. They just had to take the baby... the pride and joy of an old man and woman's heart. If the baby went missing, there would be no heir to the throne, and with the queen having such a hard time to have even one child, Dutch Leroy knew Cristabell couldn't bear to try for another babe. First, they would have to let the king and queen grow painfully close to young Rosabella; so when the child was ripped from their hearts, it would only make the want for another child disappear completely.
Hiring an assassin to do the job, Leroy would only choose the best in the business, and the man who would raise the girl for his own vicious plans: Xavier Otaktay. The only thing he did not plan for was how much King Aatma would guard his babe. Guards stood by her doors, with one of these guards as her soul protector for life, a young teen named Henry Remington, who would be constantly trained his whole life to protect the girl until he, or she, died. Xavier would have to create another tactic.
In disguise, Xavier became one of the stable hands. He worked silently for months, carefully plotting how to make off with the child. To his dismay, the assassin watched as the nurse maids let the child crawl about when she was hardly a year old. Rosabella eventually tripping and getting two nice gashes on her arm and shoulder. That would leave a recognizable scar in the future...
Deciding he needed to work fast, Xavier put together a plan over night. The next morning, the king and queen went on their morning stroll with some guards trailing behind. At this time...he'd just have to knock a few nurse maids away, get Henry out of the way, and get his ass out.
Sneaking into the building, Xavier walked like he belonged, quickly finding where Rosabella's room was due to Henry outside of the wooden doors, foolishly practicing with his sword. With a grunt of amusement, Xavier went and snagged a sword from down the hall, off a display. It was old, and rather faulty, but he just needed to knock the teen out. He swung around the corner, surprising Henry, and smashing the hilt of the sword into the boy's head. "Hmpf, I expected better," the black haired man chuckled darkly. Moving off into the room, after taking Henry's sword, Xavier headed to the cradle that held the sleeping baby, who's arm and shoulder had been gently patched up. "You're going to cause me a lot of hell...I know it already, kid." The man grumbled, scooping the sleeping child up into his arm, using the other hand to hold the sword still just in case.
Going quietly down the halls, he went out through the garden, where beyond the wall he had tied his brown stallion the night prior. A shout from a few guards made him curse under his breath, shifting Rosabella in his arms to keep a safe hold on her as he took off running. With the change in pace, the baby woke, bright blue eyes looking over the shoulder of the man she would soon call daddy to see the guards chasing after. Giggling, Rosabella had started to move her arms about a bit, Xavier grumbling and shifting the child again. "Don't you dare start to fuss, kid," he said as he ran out the back gate. He had rigged it earlier so he could pop it open on the run.
Jumping onto his stallion, he threw the sword to the side, cradling the giggling baby close to his chest as he took off into the forest, guards running after. It took him a good day or so to get in the clear from guards, leaving behind a grieving king, and queen who was mortified and sobbing. Of course, he did not care. Leroy will pay him soon, and the only difference he was stuck with, was this baby. An assassin with a child, a stolen princess. In order to lay low, Xavier had moved into a cabin in the woods, supplied by the dutch and duchess. There, he lived for two years with the girl he renamed to Megaera että Otaktay, which translated to "Grudge that Kills Many".
To his dismay, the scars on her shoulder and arm never moved, and he even found a heart-shaped birth mark on the back of her neck, one that resembled the queen's. Also to his dismay, he fell hard for the dear girl, actually feeling as if Megaera was his own daughter instead of some princess he took years ago. When she turned three and a half, he moved them to a far-off town from her birth kingdom, where no one would recognize him or the child he claimed as his own.
As he promised Leroy, Xavier taught the girl all he knew. By the time she was eight, Megaera was the perfect mini-assassin, always out to make her 'daddy' proud of her. She held a sword like a master, slipped around corners like a mouse, climbed like a squirrel, and didn't mind getting dirtied with dirt, or even blood. The child who, at this age, should be delicate and dressed up like a doll, was wearing boots, pants, tight shirts, and masks as she raided shops and practiced the things her father taught her.
Going on seventeen, Megaera got caught up with a few other 'street rats' who she quickly bonded with. The two were boys, Riker and Cyrus. The trio became hell for the town, but a pride and joy for Xavier as his daughter had started her own trio of misfits who were all well-off on their own and their ways of crime. Large bounties were soon hung over their heads, but this never stopped the trio from their crime.
However, Xavier never expected his own daughter to get into the assassin business on her own, learning tricks he never knew. The trio moved on to bigger targets, but still kept to their 'street rat' ways of living like rogues in the forest. Though Xavier always had an open door for the three, since he was retired by now and working as a blacksmith. Despite laws saying no one was to help criminals, no one ever caught on that the ex-assassin and now blacksmith gave the trio of dreaded young adults weapons, advise, and a place to stay when they wished for a real roof over her head.
Unknown to Xavier, the kingdom he stole his 'daughter' from was still looking for her. Every year on her birthday, in hopes of finding her, the kingdom a large festival is held for Rosabella. Dutchman Leroy and his wife were close to taking the throne as the king and queen aged, both of the mourning parents still desperate to believe their little girl is still alive. So desperate they hired their own private workers to go town to town to find the girl who held the scar on her arm, shoulder, and the heart birth mark with her stunning blue eyes.
Little do they know how their Rosabella had turned from their 'beautiful rose', to Megaera, one of the most wanted assassins/criminals in the lands in their kingdom and far beyond their kingdom, to many others.
Little does Megaera know she's a blue-blood, the child stolen at birth from a king and queen who miss her dearly even if they do not know how she grew up to be.
