Born in the Serdian Empire, Aketa was brought up with mostly her father. Aikaterine had fallen ill while Aketa was still a toddler. This left Galenus to raise the child mostly by himself. He took his daughter with him to council meetings in the empire, having her read at a young age to keep her silent during meetings or important events. At the age to go to school herself, Aketa eagerly absorbed all she could from her teacher, then going home and sitting by her mother's bedside to tell the sickly woman all she learned before her father would tell her to leave and let her mother rest.
Aikaterine passed when her daughter was still at the young age of ten, leaving Galenus to raise the girl. To fill the void of loosing her mother, Aketa turned to books more than ever, and was always found with one in her hands, sometimes with one hands being held by Galenus, and the other holding a book open. It wasn't long before Galenus was chosen to go to Asiria. Wanting to escape the memories of his deceased wife, he took the offer to travel to the new lands to become a council man there, and with no where else for his daughter to go, he brought Aketa along with him.
Galenus began to educate the girl into politics and anything else he could to satisfy his daughter's love of learning. At the age of nineteen, she broke the news to her father that she wished to be a teacher instead of a politician. All Galenus could do was nod, and wait until the next year when she turned twenty to allow her to enter the job as an educator of young children. Her gentle words and patience helped her grow into a wonderful teacher for the children. At times, she still goes to visit her father when he's with the council, sitting by his side as he strokes his white beard while listening.
