Enemies:
Traits
Positive: A bit too outgoing, playful, protective over friends, determined, sneaky, funny/jokesterNegative: Quick to violence when angered, easily distracted, bi-polar, and slightly clumsy, randomly talks in Spanish by accident (sometimes won’t catch it unless someone brings it up)
Neutral: Stupidly fearless to do almost anything; won’t turn down a challenge, mischievous; OCD about certain things (binders/papers, her room, puts almost everything in ABC order, things have to be placed neatly at certain times, pens all have to be black, all of her led pencils have to be black, can’t stand pants that sag too much; she will pull them up for you)
Social habits:
Positive: Will usually bring up random topics; likes to poke/tickle others, loves giving hugs and hates when others are sad, defensive over friends
Negative: Gets quiet when asked about her real parents, says things without thinking sometimes, quick to violence
Quirks: Usually chewing gum; bites her lip (sometimes making it bleed); always chewing on something; bursts out into song randomly; moves her bangs around all the time; give this chick anything fluffy and she's bound to hit you with it; OCD about random things
Flaws: Horrible at reading English (Can speak it, but can’t read it well. Emily was taught how to read Spanish, not English, so she has to learn as she goes; this makes school work rather difficult when it comes to reading) – Clumsy and usually walks into things – Often spaces out, thinking about the random-est of things
Favorite activities/Hobbies: Skateboarding, any kind of sport really – Drawing/painting/photography – Stirring up a bit of trouble (only when bored)

Background
Born in Texas, Emily lived with her birth mother and father; though her father being in the Naval Forces, he wasn’t around much and usually traveling. William was born when Emily turned two, her taking quickly to her younger brother. Though, as fate would have it when Emily was three and a half, Glenn O’Riley (Emily’s biological father) died overseas, the body never being recovered. All that was left was the dog-tags that Sarah (her biological mother) gave to Emily. Sarah couldn’t care for both children at the time, and as any mother would: She wanted what was best for them, so giving one up to a better life seemed the only option on the incredibly tight income. Sarah put Emily up for adoption, saying her final good-byes to a confused little girl before she went to a new home; to a loving Hispanic couple who couldn’t have children of their own. They moved to South Carolina soon after.
Bethany and Daniel Pizzaro took to their new daughter quickly, and Emily did the same; memories of her birth parents slipping but faintly remaining due to the dog-tags she never took off (so she’d never forget). Being in the Spanish household, Emily picked up on Spanish quickly, leaving her fluent in both but her English rusted slightly until she turned thirteen. When thirteen, Emily found herself in a new school that didn’t have an Immersion program to help her with her rusty English skills. She picked English back up good enough and improved over time, but she had never been taught to read English, only Spanish. To this day she still has trouble reading English texts.
At a young age, Daniel put Emily into boxing and karate, something she took to very quickly. Between all the other sports and hobbies she was encouraged to participate in, Emily grew into the shoes of the tomboyish, athletic girl she is today. Sport come naturally to her, but reminding her of the rules of the game would be wise before playing; she tends to forget them or get them mixed up with another sport.
Due to her father’s job, the family tended to jump houses and Emily never knew a ‘home’ for more than a four month period. Most of the moves from either schools or cities were caused by Daniel being relocated and given a new place for his family and raises; some of the school jumps were her fault though. Her quick reaction of resorting to violence caused her to get herself into multiple fights.
Now relocated to California, Emily’s parents hope Nightingale’s larger, stricter atmosphere will take some turn on Emily and cause for her to keep to the more positive traits of her personality. Daniel promised he wouldn’t make them move if she could keep herself out of fights, so she could finish High School in one place instead of jumping around so much; but Emily’s sure they’ll be moving within a few months if her father gets a call.
